Sam takes musical inspiration from jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jnr, Michael Buble, and including vocalists as diverse as Joshua Groban, Michael Jackson and Bobby McFerrin. His classical training provides a strong foundation for his contemporary vocal style. Yvette HearnLead Vocalist Yvette is an accomplished vocalist, having performed overseas and throughout Australia. She has appeared on television and radio, has recorded with multiple ensembles, and has taught contemporary singing at the Jaanz School of Singing. Yvette is a versatile vocalist, fluent in a range of contemporary styles, including classical, jazz, RnB, soul, funk, pop and rock. Yvette showcases her expertise every time she takes the stage, drawing from her experience as both a teacher and performer. Performing with top-end function bands, Nuance and A Little Something, Yvette has honed her talents as a singer, host and performer in some of the best venues throughout Melbourne and Victoria, including Crown Showroom, Chapel off Chapel and The Park Hyatt. Andy WilliamsonSaxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone), Flute, Percussion Andy has been teaching and playing saxophone for many years, and has toured with super-groups 'Labjacd', 'The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra' and 'Bombay Royale'. Andy is in demand as one of Melbourne's top session musicians, and draws influences from jazz greats such as John Coltrane, Quincy Jones, Dick Dale and Mohammed Rafi, and often moonlights as 'Uptown Brown'. | |
Aaron SearleSaxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Guitar Aaron Searle has been a professional musician in Melbourne for the past decade. Whilst he is usually seen playing baritone saxophone with 'The Grand Wazoo', he is a fluent performer on all saxophones, flutes and clarinets. Aaron has performed with theatre personalities such as Rhonda Burchmore, Chloe Dallimore, Marina Prior, Marty Fields and Peter Cousins, and with well-known bands such as the Pearly Shells, Grupo Bahia and many others. In addition, Aaron leads his own jazz quintet that released their album in 2004 to critical acclaim. |
